Jesus, it seems your grace is not for slackers...
ReplyDeleteThere is accountability for our emotions as well as accountability for words spoken in the heat of our emotions. In a culture obsessed with "being true to yourself" and "authenticity", it's easy to forget, and even justify, our emotional meltdowns. But God does not excuse away our emotional outbursts; he holds us accountable. Lord, may your Spirit remind me that I will give account for every word I utter, even those words uttered in the heat of an emotional outburst.
